What JennAir appliances do you repair?

My JennAir downdraft cooktop barely pulls any air. Is the motor gone?
Not necessarily. The most common cause is a grease filter that has not been cleaned, followed by a blocked duct run or a damper that no longer opens fully. The blower motor itself is lower on the list. Filters should be washed monthly if you cook on the cooktop daily; once airflow is back, we test the motor under load to confirm it is sound.
Why does my JennAir column refrigerator run constantly but stay warm?
Constant running with poor cooling usually means the evaporator has iced over because of a defrost fault, or the condenser is clogged and cannot shed heat. A failed evaporator fan produces the same symptom. Each of those is a different repair, so we test airflow and the defrost circuit before anyone talks about the compressor.
My JennAir wall oven bakes unevenly. What causes that?
JennAir's vertical dual-fan convection depends on both fans and the convection element working together, so a single failed fan shows up as hot and cold spots. A drifting temperature sensor or a worn door gasket produces the same result. We measure the cavity against its target temperature before ordering a part.
Is it safe to use the self-clean cycle on my JennAir oven?
It is safe, but it is hard on the oven. Self-clean runs the cavity far above normal baking temperature for hours, and the heat stresses the door lock, the thermal fuse and the control board. If your oven has ever failed right after a self-clean cycle, that is why. Wiping the cavity by hand and using self-clean sparingly extends the life of the electronics.
Why is my JennAir dishwasher leaving a white film on glassware?
Orange County water is hard, and the film is mineral scale. Over time it coats the spray arms, the filter and the heater, which is why wash and dry performance both fall off together. Rinsing the filter monthly and running a descaling cycle every two to three months prevents most of it; once the heater is scaled, we clean or replace it.
Can a power outage damage my JennAir appliances?
Yes, it can. The RISE and NOIR generation runs on connected control boards, and a surge when power returns can damage the power board without any visible sign. If several functions failed at the same time after an outage, that is the first thing we test. A surge protector on the circuit is a reasonable precaution.
Do you repair older JennAir downdraft ranges?
We do. The older Pro-Style and Euro-Style downdraft ranges are mechanically simple and usually worth keeping, especially since a replacement means re-cutting the countertop. We diagnose the unit by its condition, not its age, and tell you honestly if a part is no longer available before you commit.
