Irvine is organized into villages, and the village tells you most of what to expect before the door opens. University Park and Woodbridge date to the 1970s, and a good share of those kitchens are on their second or third appliance generation. Turtle Rock and Shady Canyon run to custom homes with full built-in suites. Portola Springs, Eastwood and the Great Park neighborhoods are new enough that the appliances are current-generation and the real question is access through the millwork.

Do you cover every village, or only the newer parts of Irvine?
Every village. Woodbridge and University Park get the same coverage as Orchard Hills and the Great Park neighborhoods. The difference is not whether we come out, it is what the technician brings. An older village call is loaded for original built-ins and discontinued components. A newer village call is loaded for current control boards and connected diagnostics.
Our home is three years old and the refrigerator is failing. Should I call you or the manufacturer?
If the unit is still inside the manufacturer's own coverage, start there, because a warranty repair through the brand costs you nothing. Check the purchase or closing date first, since builder-installed appliances start their clock at installation rather than at move-in. Once that period is over, or if the brand cannot get to you in a reasonable time and you would rather pay for a faster fix, we take it from there.
Our built-in refrigerator has stopped cooling. What should we do while we wait for the technician?
Keep the doors closed. A full cabinet holds temperature for several hours if it is left alone, and each opening costs more than people expect. Move whatever you cannot afford to lose into a cooler or a second unit, then leave the rest. Two things to avoid: do not cycle the power on and off repeatedly, because on most built-in columns that clears the stored fault code the technician needs to read, and do not pull the unit forward to reach behind it. If water is pooling under the cabinet, switch the unit off at the breaker and dry the floor, since a built-in sits on flooring that will not survive standing water.
Our Woodbridge kitchen still has appliances from the early 1990s. Are parts even available?
More often than people expect. Sealed system components, evaporator fans, defrost heaters and door hardware remain available for many built-in models from that era, and where the original part has been discontinued there is frequently a superseded equivalent. What tends to disappear first is cosmetic trim and original display boards. The technician confirms availability before quoting, so you are never approving a repair that depends on a part nobody can supply.
We have a main kitchen and a smaller prep kitchen behind it. Can both be looked at in one appointment?
Yes, and it is worth booking them together. Prep kitchens and back kitchens in the newer villages usually carry a second cooktop, a compact oven and sometimes their own refrigeration, and they run on separate circuits from the main room. Mention both rooms when you call so the visit is scheduled with enough time rather than squeezed.
